Eager to hear your feedback on this idea. The thin black line on the outer edge is just a line of straight stitching that follows the rope to be used if we decide to put a piece of fabric or Solvy on top of the design once everything else is stitched, so we can then turn it and have the edge next to the rope trim finished. The quilt is a couple or three George prints, plus primary red, green and blue. The backing is a monkey printed flannel. The label is to be stitched on red unless you all think that is not a good idea? Not sure on the colour for the rope... only a pretty vivid yellow would go with the backing. The "made for", "by" and "& Lillian" will all be stitched in a pale blue and the other letters in the royal as shown.
