2016 Sewing - PinkerPaws
Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong with this. This was my third attempt and as you can see, it is still a bit puckered. The first one I overthought and ended up trying to stair step the design, as this sash was worn across the body like a pageant sash. Stopped stitching part way through. The second one was a wadder... such a puckered mess. This one got a pass. Funny thing is the mom-to-be didn't even want one. It was my friend, the grandmother, who really wanted it, so I was happy to make it for her. The little robin is a nod to a close friend, Robin, who passed away. The fabric is a silk/cotton blend, really too light for this much stitching, but these were the letters my friend liked.
