Closeup of monkey on jacket front

This it the monkey Spencer can really play with. MP embroidery design stitched on ultrasuede. I added a second layer of ultrasuede on the back before the outline stitching, so it has lots of body, but is still soft. The rope, which I made with that Twister tool from pearl cotton, is attached to little loops of ultrasuede, so that if the rope wears out I can easily replace it. The rope right now is looped over an antler button which is tied on to a piece of ultrasuede which is stitched on. The monkey could be tied up there or just looped over like you see now. If you take the rope off the antler button the monkey can hide in the pocket, well, except for his tail, 'cause it peeks out! This jacket would not be for younger children (three and up) lest they decide to do something dangerous with the monkey's rope!
