Kitchen elevations: drawers to left of sink; sink and dishwasher; side of ovens/water cooler/pantry
Top picture shows drawers that will be on the kitchen side, parallel to the table. The exposed outside part of the lower cupboards will be beadboard. D Elevation on the bottom left shows the view looking at the double sink and dishwasher. The little cupboard beyond (to the right of the doorway into the family room) will be only 9" deep. My decorator friend drew a message board there, which would be great, but I think I will put the TV there. We have satellite, so every TV must have a box. There are shelves in the family room right there on the other side of the wall, so I think I will put the box there. They should be able to run all of the wires invisibly! We'll put it on one of those adjustable gizmos so you will be able to see if from most parts of the kitchen and from the table and breakfast bar. On the right (still on elevation D here) will be the microwave, oven and warming oven.
Elevation E shows the side of the ovens/cupboard and then a space for the water cooler and then the pantry, which will be larger and a pullout or else a combination of big pullout and drawer type pullouts. I am giving the water cooler area more thought... It will be recessed a lot, but the first thing you see when you walk into the room... so I am thinking about a smaller unit (they have them with a base half the size) or even bringing it forward and putting storage behind it... either for the spare bottles or for seldom used things. It is not heavy to slide across the floor and we could even put it on a pull out type thing. Any ideas on that topic?
